PCI Embedded Computer Systems

This card is an ETX 3U CompactPCI® carrier board. A PCI to PCI Bridge connects to the ETX PCI bus to the CompactPCI® bus providing the signals for up to 6 additional slots and provides bus arbitration for all slots. The carrier board complies with the PICMG 2.0 and version 2.1 CompactPCI specifications. USB, Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet and VGA connectors are on the 2 slot wide Front Panel. The parallel port, serial port, and LVDS connectors are accessible directly behind the front panel. A battery is included to support Real Time Clock Operations. A rear I/O option card provides access to the IDE port for remote mounting of a hard disk, Keyboard, Mouse, second serial port, a second Ethernet port, and GPIO. A 40Gbyte Notebook drive option may be mounted on the backside of the card through an available IDE connector increasing the width to 3 slots. An optional conduction cooling heat spreader is also available for mounting in a 2-slot conduction cooled card cage. When this option is selected, the carrier hard disk option and the ETX flash disk connectors are not accessible. The Rear I/O option should be used to access the IDE port.
